The U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary offers free annual vessel safety inspections that ensure that you have all the required safety gear on board and some key parts of your boat are up to snuff! At our marina, they try to schedule all the boats on our dock for the same day. Don’t worry…there’s no penalty if your boat doesn’t pass, they just give you a detailed report about what to fix and will reschedule when you’re ready. Your passing boat gets a sticker to tell law enforcement that your vessel has passed inspection that year. Did I mention its FREE!
